DriftNotes stores your data locally on your device. To backup your notes:

  • Use iCloud backup (automatic if enabled in Settings > Apple ID > iCloud)
  • Export individual notes using the share feature
  • Use iTunes/Finder backup when syncing your device

Yes! MindDrift works completely offline for most features:

  • Creating and editing mind maps
  • Importing documents from your device
  • Viewing existing mind maps
  • Basic AI processing (using on-device capabilities)

Some advanced AI features may require an internet connection.

To enable location-based notes in DriftNotes:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services
  • Make sure Location Services is turned on
  • Find DriftNotes in the list and select "While Using App"
  • Open DriftNotes and allow location access when prompted

DriftNotes makes grocery shopping effortless with location-triggered lists:

  • Create your shopping list at home
  • Set the location to your grocery store (e.g., "Whole Foods Market")
  • Your list automatically appears when you arrive at the store

  • The list can auto-expire when you leave the store

Yes! MindDrift supports importing various document formats:

  • PDF files
  • Text files (.txt)
  • Word documents (.docx)
  • Rich text files (.rtf)

Simply tap the import button in MindDrift and select your document from Files, iCloud, or other supported sources.

Absolutely! Privacy and security are our top priorities:

  • All data is stored locally on your device
  • We don't collect or store your personal content on our servers
  • Documents are processed locally when possible
  • We use Apple's secure frameworks for data storage

Updates are handled through the App Store:

  • Open the App Store app
  • Tap your profile picture in the top right
  • Scroll down to find DriftNotes or MindDrift
  • Tap "Update" if an update is available

You can also enable automatic updates in Settings > App Store.

  • Location Lists Not Triggering: Make sure location services are enabled and you've set a specific location for your list (like "Whole Foods" for grocery lists)
  • Notes Not Expiring: Check your expiration settings - notes can be set to expire after leaving a location, after a time period, or manually
  • Grocery List Tips: Create your shopping list at home, set it to trigger at your grocery store, and it will automatically appear when you arrive
  • Widget Not Showing Lists: Try removing and re-adding the widget from your home screen, and ensure you have active location-based notes

MindDrift MindDrift

  • Import Issues: Check that your document format is supported and the file isn't corrupted
  • AI Processing: Some AI features require an internet connection and may take time to process
  • Performance: Large documents may take longer to process - this is normal
